The Chronicles of Tap, by Chet and Kim Brackett
Purchase through Amazon.

The Chronicles of Tap is the true story about Tap Duncan, who was born in the heart of Texas in 1869, and is based on journals found in an attic. The journals belonged to Great Uncle Chet (a relative of Chet Brackett), who wrote down his life's adventures when he lived in the remote area of Three Creek, Idaho. He then hid his notes and passed away.

The journals tell the story of Great Uncle Chet and Tap Duncan, whose lives intertwined and ultimately culminated in the Winnemucca bank robbery of 1900. The two men, from different backgrounds. found a connection through ranching and horses and also the loss of their beloved brothers. One was hanged in Eagle Pass, Texas, and the other unjustly murdered in Denver.

Most importantly the journals told of the two men planning and successfully pulling off one of the greatest bank robberies of the Old West, and taking their secret to their graves.

The Winnemucca Bank robbery has been attributed to many different outlaws. It's time you know the real story.
